Discord Voice Acting Activity

Run a simple voice acting activity for a Discord community by giving members the same short scene and a clear feedback prompt.

What this practice is

Voice acting communities often gather on Discord to share auditions, practice reads, and feedback. SceneDub can supply a common scene for an asynchronous activity without requiring everyone to configure the same editing project.

SceneDub has no Discord bot or account connection. A moderator can share a scene URL, set a safe prompt, and let participants decide whether to share their result under the community's rules.

A focused three-step workflow

  1. 1Choose one SceneDub scene and publish a specific acting constraint.
  2. 2Ask participants to complete it privately before sharing anything.
  3. 3Structure feedback around clarity, intention, and timing rather than voice type.

Coaching notes

  • Require consent before replaying or reposting anyone's recording.
  • Set clear rules for minors and public channels.
  • Keep critique behavioral, specific, and optional.
