Online ADR Practice Tool

Practice ADR online by recording replacement dialogue to picture, checking timing, and reviewing the reconstructed scene.

What this practice is

ADR, or automated dialogue replacement, asks an actor to recreate dialogue while watching picture. SceneDub provides a simplified online ADR drill with fixed line windows and synchronized final playback.

Professional ADR uses streamers, beeps, or a moving cue system. This practice flow is lighter, but it trains the same core awareness: entering on cue, finishing in time, and keeping the delivery alive under technical constraints.

A focused three-step workflow

  1. 1Study the character's movement immediately before the line.
  2. 2Record a take that fits the available duration without rushing the final word.
  3. 3Review the whole scene to check whether edits between takes disappear.

Coaching notes

  • Lead the cue slightly with your breath, not your first sound.
  • Preserve emotional truth when adjusting speed.
  • Use consonants cleanly when the line must land precisely.
