Download a Dubbed Video
Complete a SceneDub scene and download the dubbed video when your browser supports canvas capture and MediaRecorder export.
Reviewed by SceneDub Editorial Team | Updated August 23, 2026
What this practice is
SceneDub can render a completed dub locally by drawing the source video to a canvas and combining its dialogue-free backing track with your timed recordings. Support depends on browser media capabilities.
The export runs in real time and may produce WebM or MP4 based on available codecs. When export is unsupported, the synchronized in-browser preview still works.
A focused three-step workflow
- 1Accept a take for every line and open the completed-scene view.
- 2Play the final dub once to check synchronization.
- 3Choose Download video and keep the tab active while the local render completes.
Coaching notes
- Do not close or background the tab during export.
- Test the downloaded file before deleting browser data.
- Retain the displayed creator attribution when sharing prototype footage.
